Headspa and colouring in the same session

Recently, we have received several enquiries regarding headspa and colouring, specifically whether or not it is okay for one to have headspa and hair colouring in the same session.

Headspa is a hairwash incooperating head massage which helps to improve blood circulation, clean your scalp and promote healthy growth of your hair. At Art Noise, we use our original nutritious SHA shampoo and treatment imported from our factory in Japan for our headspa. While there is no doubt that the headspa is a beneficial service for your hair, many hesitates to have headspa and colour in the same session as they worry that doing so may cause the colour the fade.

However, the truth is that whether or not the colour may fade depends. It depends on the hair colour you choose to dye.

If you were to opt for “normal” hair colours like brown or dark red, it is unlikely that the colour will fade when headspa is performed before or after the colouring session.

However, if you were to opt for colours of very light shade like pink, we would not advise you to have headspa together with colour in the same session, because such colours tend to fade easily – each hairwash would inevitable wash away some colour. In fact, try to avoid washing your hair with shampoo if you would like to prolong the lifespan of those hair colours.
