Choosing your hair color based on your skin tone.

Having a hard time choosing which color to dye your hair next? You can try letting your skin tone decide.

Obviously there are a bunch of different tones and hues of skin out there but they mostly fall into 2 big categories, cool and warm.

But how do you tell? The easiest way is to try looking at the veins on your wrist.

Blue is cool, green is warm. If you can’t tell then you probably have a neutral skin tone. (lucky you, almost everything will look good on you if you have a neutral skin tone) Below are some hair color suggestions for the different skin tones.

Cool

Try to look for more muted colors. Any color with the word ash, pastel or smokey is a safe choice.

Warm

Think of colors in the sunset, they’ll probably look good on you. Browns, reds, gold, etc.

And if you have a neutral skin tone, just go wild. Anything looks good on you.
