Hair drying and Styling tips

Hi everyone, justin here. Today’s hair care and styling tip is about blow drying your permed hair to create the perfect wave! Have you ever experienced having you curls straighten out after you blowdry your hair? Even though the curls seemed to show while in the shower? Let’s find out why and also share some tips on how to style your hair!

When your hair is wet, the chemical bonds created by perm cause the waves and curls to return. When you hair dries, it will try to return to its natural state, this is why people with naturally straight hair sometimes see their perm becoming straight very quickly.

So what can we do to avoid this from happening? The key is in using the right styling products and the method of blow drying! After showering, apply mousse to your damp hair before blowdrying. When blowdrying, take note not to blow it downwards, but rather, scrunch your ends and blow it upwards. By doing the former, you pull on your hair, causing it to straighten and the waves to disappear. Scrunching your hair and blowing it from bottom up ensures that the waves are locked in place.
