For those of us with dark hair, perms are a good way to add more life into one’s hair – they give both greater volume, and dimension to dark tresses, adding movement to otherwise flat, dark, Asian hair. Soft curls also act as instant accessories, adding a touch of femininity and glamour to almost any outfit.

A request we often receive from customers is for perm and colouring to be done in the same sitting. As a general rule, we do not recommend such a combination to be done in a single visit, as it would be very damaging to your hair. To preserve the long-term health of your hair, we generally recommend at least a one-week break in between perming and colouring. The perm should also be done before the colouring, as coloured hair may not take up the perm chemicals as well if done in reverse order.

We would like to remind everyone once again, that our stylists are now almost fully booked for the next 2 weeks leading up to Chinese New Year. If you would like to book a perm/rebonding/time intensive hair menus with us, do consider the post-CNY period!
