Salon Hair Colour vs DIY Colour

Hello everyone! Samantha here and I would like to debunk a few doubts about DIY colour and also Salon Hair colouring!

So, some people would ask why salons would discourage customers from dyeing their hair at home by themselves because there would be uneven patches of hair colour since we cannot see behind our heads. Even if you got someone to help you out, they might not apply the dye equally across the head :>

The colour dye used at salons are usually split into two – both items vary in acidity levels depending on how strong the chemical is needed to dye a person’s hair.

On the other hand, DIY colours are usually only one-step processes and the acidity levels in the chemical formulas amount up to 6% – whereas in salons, the acidity levels range from 1% to 6% depending on how difficult it is to remove or put on a colour for a customer.
The acidity level in a chemical formula is closely associated to bleach so we can see that by using DIY colours too often, the damage done to the hair might be irreversible!
Therefore consult a salon before you want to do DIY colouring :>
