Keratin Treatment Experience (Day 4)

Hello everyone!

It’s Samantha again (teehee) and I am back with more updates with the condition of my hair after doing the keratin treatment 😀

It’s Day 4 after the treatment but my hair is still looking as naturally straight as ever (:
I’m so glad because I really have problems handling my own natural waves whenever my new hair grows out so this keratin treatment has been doing its job in keeping my waves in check!

I still do apply my usual hair oil when I go out of the house as well as before I blow dry my hair at night because the heat from the hair dryer may result in your hair losing its moisture so the hair oil (or any other hair products) actually helps by providing a layer of protection against the direct heat your hair receives from the dryer. Furthermore, we aren’t sure if the heat for all hair dryers are at the optimum level since not all dryers are used for salons (: It’s always good to be prepared and prevent before your hair gets overly damaged.

Since my hair had good results, our salon is in the middle of planning to introduce the same keratin treatment for our customers! It’s really true (I’m not even hard selling the product because I don’t get any benefits XD) that your hair is way smoother and easier to blow dry.

What I usually do right after I wash my hair is to immediately towel dry it as much as I can (without ruffling my hair too much), use my fingers to roughly comb through my hair, zone out for a while and then proceed with blow drying my hair. In a previous post I posted a few days ago, the advice was to blow dry your hair ASAP after your shower. However, this is pretty difficult for me to achieve because I have very thick and healthy hair so my hair takes a million donkey years to even feel like it’s starting to dry so I tend to straighten out my hair with my fingers and waiting a while before I blow dry my hair.

Right before I blow dry my hair, I will apply some hair oil to my semi-dried hair to protect my hair against the heat and it also does (for some reason) help with the drying of the hair because my hair becomes smoother and tangles less! I think this would be a good strategy to take on for those with similar hair worries and tendencies as myself ^^

I blow dry my hair using my hands first before combing my hair once through at the very end when I also switch to cold air so that the shape of my hair sets.
